Daedalus 5.0.0 release notes

Release date: 8 September 2022

Daedalus 5.0.0 Mainnet release supports node version 1.35.3 and is Vasil compatible.

This release also fixes the following known issues:

• Older Daedalus executables that didn’t get deleted after auto update
• Errors when selecting syncing wallets during delegation/redeem ITN rewards process
• System using previous amount of tokens to be sent even if user alters the amount during fee calculation

Additionally, this release replaces the darwin-launcher.go process image with cardano-launcher.

The “Terms of Service” have also been updated.

Fixed issues

Yellow “decimal place” alert triangle for tokens

In the previous release, tokens that had non-zero recommended decimals did not display the yellow “decimal place” alert triangle. This issue is now fixed.

Syncing wallets able to reach last step on Delegation Wizard/ redeeming ITN rewards

Errors are no longer generated when selecting a syncing wallet during Delegation Wizard or while redeeming ITN rewards.

Older Daedalus executables not deleted after auto update

Older Daedalus executables remaining after the auto update is now fixed.

Incorrect amount of tokens sent

In previous releases, if the user altered the amount of tokens to be sent during fee calculation, the system would still send the original amount. This no longer occurs.
