Announcement - Cardano Preproduction 64 KES period has arrived!

On Wednesday, October 19th at 13:00 UTC the Cardano Pre-production environment will undergo an update that will correct the configuration on the validity period for the KES keys to match mainnet configuration (62 KES periods of 1.5 days).

Testnet Downtime

The Preproduction environment will be offline for around 48 hours while technical teams apply the update and complete all checks. The team will provide updates in our Telegram and Discord channels once the update is successfully completed. 

Action Required

We recommend shutting down all Cardano components on the Pre-production prior to the update and throughout this maintenance window.

SPO’s (Stake Pool Operators) should also shut down their stake pools and rotate their keys once the network is back online to allow relays to reconnect to their stakepool.

Daedalus Pre-production environment

Users running Daedulas in the Pre-production environment should disconnect and shut down Deadalus during this maintenance window.
