Announcement - Cardano Preview testnet forking to protocol version 8

Announcement

On Wednesday, November 16th, at 00:00 UTC the Cardano Preview environment will hard fork to protocol version 8 in order to support community testing of SECP256K1 elliptic curves via new Plutus primitives.

Action Required

We strongly recommend all users currently using the Preview testnet upgrade to the supported version cardano-node 1.35.4 prior to the scheduled hard fork to avoid any outage or downtime. 

cardano-node 1.35.4 is available to download from GitHub. Please upgrade to this version as soon as possible.
