How to download log files
If Daedalus does start
If Daedalus starts but you experience syncing or connectivity issues, you should be able to use this method.
1. Navigate to the Download Logs menu item in the Help menu.
2. Save the logs in your desired location
3. Send your logs to the Technical Support Desk
If Daedalus will not start
This option is only if Daedalus will not start at all.
Windows
- Type %appdata% in the Windows Explorer search bar
- Open the Daedalus Mainnet folder
- Open the Logs folder
- Find the Pub folder
- Zip the Pub folder
macOS
- On the Finder’s menu bar select Go
- Click Go to Folder…
- Type ~/Library/Application Support/Daedalus Mainnet
- Note that if you cannot find the Daedalus folder your Library folder may be hidden. You will need to Unhide the Library folder.
- Open the Logs folder
- Find the Pub folder
- Zip the Pub folder
Linux
- Navigate to ~/.local/share/Daedalus/mainnet
- Zip the Logs folder
