Shelley Networked Testnet vs Shelley Self-node Testnet
Shelley Testnet is where we are testing the functionality that will be used in the future Shelley Era of the Cardano Blockchain. Our latest major release is Jormungandr Version 5.0 (AKA Shelley Networked Testnet) which brings a big increase in functionality because it’s the first version of Jormungandr that can connect to other computers in a network. Jormungandr Version 5.0. breaks the limits of the “self-node” or the “blockchain in a box” concepts that we implemented with Shelley Self-node Testnet
We need your support
In order to have a successful release of this version, we require the help of as many people as possible in the community as well as IOHK to test the Jormungandr Version 5.0 to help us improve the code and this documentation.
So if you could please follow these instructions and let us know if you were successful or had problems. This will help us identify what problems the general public is going to have.
Please create a support request if you have any issues using this documentation or the latest release ofJormungandr Version 5.0.
