How to restore Byron wallets in Adalite (Daedalus inaccessible)

Problem

When Daedalus is too heavy to function on your machine and Yoroi doesn't support the restoration of Byron legacy wallets with 12-word recovery phrase. 

 

Solution

Please use Adalite(https://adalite.io/) wallet to access your funds that were stored in a Byron legacy wallet with 12-word recovery phrase.

1. Visit Adalite wallet website from here: https://adalite.io/.

2. Choose Fastest - Mnemonic(Recovery phrase).

3. Enter the 12-word recovery phrase for your Byron legacy wallet. Then click Unlock.

4. Your Byron wallet will be restored after a few seconds. 

 

Note: After your wallet is restored in Adalite wallet, you will see a warning says: You are accessing Shelley incompatible wallet. This is because we are in the Shelley era and all wallets should be updated to Shelley wallets. We highly suggest you create a Shelley wallet to store your funds.
