Cardano 2.3.0: Shelley stabilization - Release Notes
Cardano 2.3.0
Cardano 2.3.0 delivers enhancements and stabilization changes to Shelley components following the transition from the Byron federated era. A production version of the Stakepool Metadata Aggregation Server (SMASH 1.0.0) has been released. The stabilisation updates include SMASH 1.0.1, Cardano REST 2.1.2 and Cardano REST 2.1.3, Cardano Explorer 1.0.2, Cardano Wallet 2020.8.3, and Cardano DB Sync 4.0.0. These Cardano Shelley components are compatible with Cardano Node 1.18.0. The Cardano documentation is available for user reference.
SMASH 1.0.0 and SMASH 1.0.1
The Stakepool Metadata Aggregation Server (SMASH) collects, stores, and provides Cardano blockchain stake pool information (metadata) off-chain on a server deployed and maintained by the Cardano Foundation.
SMASH 1.0.0 is the production release delivered on 12 August 2020, complementing its initial release with stakepool ID blacklisting and other features, and several improvements. SMASH 1.0.1, released on 13 Aug 2020, a pool information query is enhanced with pool ID.
The releases are compatible with Cardano Node 1.18.0 and Cardano DB Sync 3.1.0.
Cardano Wallet 2020.8.3
The Cardano wallet backend provides an HTTP API and a command-line interface (CLI) for sending and receiving payments on the Cardano blockchain.
The Cardano Wallet 2020.8.3 update provides support for ITN rewards redemption on the Cardano mainnet, and, also, support for external stake pool metadata; this update introduces improvements and resolves some issues. Released on 3 August 2020, this version is compatible with Cardano Node 1.18.0.
Cardano REST 2.1.2 and Cardano REST 2.1.3
The Cardano REST API allows information about the chain that has been stored in the PostGreSQL database to be obtained via a REST interface. It includes two APIs: Cardano Explorer API and Cardano transaction submission API.
Cardano REST 2.1.2, released 31 July 2020, and Cardano REST 2.1.3, released on 5 August 2020, fixed several issues in the Cardano Explorer API; see the corresponding release notes for details.
Cardano Explorer 1.0.2
The Cardano Explorer is a web application that allows Cardano blockchain data to be queried and viewed. This data includes epochs, blocks, transactions, and addresses.
Cardano Explorer 1.0.2 was released and deployed on the testnet and the mainnet on 6 August 2020. This release contains fixes for issues with slot calculation, bech32 search capability, and search prompt optimisation. This release is compatible with Cardano GraphQL 2.0.0.
Cardano DB Sync 4.0.0
The Cardano DB Sync process synchronizes blockchain data into a relational database.
Cardano DB Sync 4.0.0, released on 18 August 2020, includes some additions, improvements, and bug fixes. New changes in the database schema include addition of transaction metadata, certificate index, raw transaction address, and raw stake address. This update fixes delegation and pool_retire references, stake deregistration, stake ordering, epoch start, and end times data.
Compatible with Cardano Node 1.18.0.
