The “Wallet import” feature for importing wallets from an earlier version of Daedalus or from the Daedalus state directory has been temporarily disabled since Daedalus 2.0.0. It will be eventually re-enabled in a future version of Daedalus. You will be able to extract your wallets by pointing this future version of Daedalus to your old Daedalus (0.15.1 or older) state directory.
- If you lost or don't have your 12-word wallet recovery phrase, please do not delete Daedalus from your computer.
- If you need to delete your old Daedalus application please store your secret.key file in an offline device. It is stored in Daedalus> Secrets -1.0 > secret.key
- This wallet import feature will import your "Spending password" that you set up for the Byron legacy wallet. If you don't know your spending password then you are not able to transfer your Ada to a new wallet that you know recovery phrase after importing your wallet in Daedalus.
Please note: We will add support for importing wallets created in Daedalus 1.0.0 and newer in the future as well but there is no ETA for this feature.
