Release date: 04 December 2020
Daedalus 2.6.0 brings updates needed to accommodate the change to the desired number of pools from 150 to 500 on the Cardano network (as configured by the k network parameter), as well as numerous smaller fixes and improvements.
Stake slider improvements
The stake slider on the 'Stake pools' page now uses the desired number of stake pools (as configured by the k parameter on the Cardano network) to calculate the maximum value. On the 6th of December, the desired number of pools on the Cardano network will change from 150 to 500. This improvement will calculate the correct maximum value for the stake slider following the k parameter change.
The circulating supply of ada on the stake slider is also updated to reflect the network's current circulating supply of ada. This will be read directly from the network instead of being handled by upcoming updates.
The Newsfeed is now automatically closed when you click anywhere on the user interface outside of the Newsfeed itself.
Delisted stake pools
Stake pools delisted by the off-chain metadata servers (SMASH servers) were still showing in Daedalus. This issue is now resolved.
Transaction fee estimation improvement
Performance of the transaction fee estimation is now improved when making changes to ada amounts to be sent in a transaction.
ITN rewards redemption
Fee calculation has been fixed for ITN wallets that contain small amounts of ada, making ITN redemption possible for wallets with small balances where the ITN redemption was previously reporting an error. Also, the ITN rewards redemption user experience now benefits from more precise error messages.
Empty disk space check on Linux
Empty disk space is now correctly reported on some Linux distributions where it was not being reported previously.
