In preparation for the upcoming Vasil hard fork, IOG is pleased to announce the release of cardano-node 1.35.3 and the launch of two new testnets, pre-production and preview.
Pre-production is a new chain in the Alonzo era (current era), which mirrors the mainnet environment. It is recommended for testing components in the current era before upgrading on mainnet.
Note: The Vasil hard fork will be triggered on pre-production before mainnet; we will keep you posted.
Preview is a new chain that has already transitioned through the Vasil hard fork and is currently in the Babbage era. Going forward, this testnet can be used to test new and upcoming features on Cardano prior to the official mainnet release.

Note: cardano-node 1.35.3 is likely to be the version that will support the Vasil hard fork. To avoid any outage and maintain compliance we recommended all integrations upgrade to cardano-node 1.35.3 on the respective network and commence testing.
